In the Linux distribution of Fedora, you can enable the ability to create screenshots using the Fedora Workstation utility. It allows you to quickly take screenshots of the entire desktop, specific windows, or an arbitrary part of the screen.
These methods of taking a screenshot will automatically save it in the "Pictures" folder.
PrtScr - a snapshot of the entire desktop.
Alt + PrtScr - a snapshot of the active window.
⇧ Shift + PrtScr - a snapshot of the desired area of the screen.
These methods of creating a screenshot copy it to the clipboard without saving it.
Ctrl + PrtScr - a snapshot of the entire desktop.
Ctrl + Alt + PrtScr - snapshot of the current program window.
Ctrl + ⇧ Shift + PrtScr - a snapshot of the desired area of the screen.
If you are using a keyboard without a key PrtScr, then you can choose another key instead of it to take screenshots. This is done through the keyboard preferences in the Fedora Workstation preferences application.
